"Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without" has been popular at various times over the past century, and I first encountered this saying in 2025 by way of a print from Bread and Puppets Theater. It stuck with me, and inspired this quilt, in which I used only fabric selvedges to piece the quilt top and the binding. Selvedges bring me so much happiness with their fonts and textures and colors, and this felt like the ultimate project to play with them.
